This research deals with the hadiths on unity, following Sunnah and, and prohibiting division and bid’a ( Jāmiʿ al-usool at-Tisʿah min as-Sunnah at-Muṭahharah) by Sheikh Salih Al-Shami.
The importance of this study and its goals lies in the necessity of connecting doctrinal studies directly to the Book and the Prophetic Sunnah, and to further serve the book Jāmiʿ al-Uṣūl at-Tisʿah.
The method of the study is based on collecting the hadiths on unity, following the Sunnah and the Salaf, and prohibiting division and bid’a from Jāmiʿ al-Uṣūl at-Tisʿah, arranging them according to the research plan, and then studying them and commenting on them according to the way of Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-Jamāʿah.
The research comprises an introduction, a preface, five chapters, and a conclusion.
The introduction comprises the importance of the research, the reasons for choosing it and its objectives, the research methodology and its limits, previous studies, and the research plan. The second chapter is entitled ‘The hadiths on following the Salaf, may Allah be pleased with them’ and the third chapter is called ‘The hadiths on adhering to the Group’. The fourth chapter is entitled ‘The hadiths on the prohibition of division and disagreement’ while the fifth chapter is entitled ‘The hadiths on the prohibition of heresy’. This is followed by the conclusion, which includes the most important results and recommendations.
The study concludes with a number of results, the most important of which are: what is meant by following the Sunnah is following the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and imitating him and his Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, following their footsteps, and emulating their way in creed and deed, and that the group that the Prophet, may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him, commanded to adhere to, are the ones who have gathered upon what the Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him, and his Companions were upon, or on an imam who agrees with the Sunnah.
In light of the aforementioned results, the study presents a number of recommendations, most notably: referring to the Book and the Sunnah to understand doctrinal issues, citing both of them as evidence, and studying the hadiths on faith in the book Jāmiʿ al-Uṣūl at-Tisʿah.
Then the research concludes with indexes for ease of use. |
