Princess Al-Jawhara Center of Excellence in Research of Hereditary Disorders invites research proposals within the following research categories:
1 - The genetic causes of hereditary disorders.
2 - Prevention of genetic disorders.
3 - Modern technologies in the diagnosis or treatment of genetic disorders.
Funding groups:
1 – Long term research project:
A - (500,000 to 700,000 SR two - five years advance research).
B - (200,000 to 300,000 SR two years research).
2 - Short research project:
A - (50,000 – 100,000 SR one year).
B - (20,000 to 50,000 SR one year).
3 - Research students: Undergraduates and post-graduate students may submit short term projects under the above mentioned research categories. The funding will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Eligibility:
1- The research proposal should be within the specified research categories.
2- Follow the center designed forms to submit the research proposal which can be obtained through the center's website: http://al-jawhara-center.kau.edu.sa/
3- The research proposal must show excellence in scientific reflection, design and in pace with the latest technology, techniques and modern scientific research methodology.
4- The research proposal must be characterized by its effectiveness where the results benefit the largest possible number of people from the community.
5- Keep in mind the collaboration between various scientific disciplines, benefit from national and international experiences and polarization of global excellence and relevant to the center’s research concerns.
6- The results should be published in an international journal with a high impact factor, or in obtaining a patent.
7- Use the English language writing the proposal.
8- One original copy, three hard copies and one soft copy on CD should be submitted to the address indicated below.
9- The last date to receive research proposals is AUGUST 1, 2010.
The center apologizes for not accepting any research proposals after the specified date.
